The last week of 2014!  Have you made any New Year Resolutions yet?  Do you stick to them?  I tend to make a big list then forget all about them! I am working on my ‘word’ for 2015, it seems to be the thing for next year, a word to live by.  No pressure then.  I had a word for 2014 but I can’t remember what it was.  See how good I am at this!!!  The December Reflections prompt for New Year’s Eve is ‘My word for 2015 is…’, so I had better get a wiggle on. For the month of December I have been taking part in December Reflections from Susannah Conway and posting them in place of my usual weekly photos. The highlights of this week were finishing school on Friday and seeing some magnificent Elk up close at the weekend and enjoying coffee and panettone on our hike! Wishing you a wonderful week!

            Last week was snowy and sunny and cold and warm.  Just as you would expect here in St Louis! It was my birthday and we went for a hike at Rockwoods Reservation which was lovely in the snow.  We liked it so much that we went again to walk a different trail at the weekend when it was nice and warm. 1.  A new bracelet added to my Etsy shop.  I am have a promotion all this week – 25% off with the code ‘ICY25’, pop over and see if there is anything you fancy! 2.  Steps in the snow. 3.  Swamp in the snow. 4.  Grasses at Rockwoods Reservation. 5.  Some impressive lichen. 6.  Reflections spotted while we were fossil hunting in the creek. I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the week ahead.  We have a 10th birthday in our house this week, so I need to think of cake ideas!

          1. Soldier helmet, all ready for the Halloween costume. 2. The first frost of the season arrived this week, so I harvested all of the green tomatoes before they got frosty! 3. The last Lavender harvest which is now hanging in the basement.  I have a jam jar full of dried lavender all ready to make into pretty Lavender bags. 4. and 5.  Playing conkers in the back garden. How was your week?  Very good I hope and here’s looking forward to a new week.

1 & 2 The raindrops look so amazing on these pink leaves, I had to snap them. 3 & 4 Lots of metal pumpkins and vintage letters and signs, what great colours. 5 One of the local Black Walnut trees has lost all of it’s leaves and is just left with walnuts for decoration. 6. We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and there were some duck shaped gourds! 7. The sky changed colour and cloud density all afternoon, I took this last photo (and all of the others come to think of it) and used no filter.  More wonderful colour and light. I hope you had a lovely week and are looking forward to this week.  I have lots of jewelry to make and a 4th grade Halloween party to organise. Happy Monday!
