March Photo a Day 2013

A month of bonkers weather and photos to show it!  Day 5 was snowy trees, followed by a chair in the sunshine!  I photo’ed favourite things and books I am reading (nearly finished Astrid and Veronika and I highly recommend it).  We have had Spring break, eleven inches of snow and saw the month out with Easter which was dry and sunny!  Here are the photos. Day 1. L is for… Day 2. I made this.  Rainbow necklace. Day 3. Key. Day 4. Lucky.  I found these Latin language cards in a junk shop.  A lucky find! Day 5. Under.  The snowy trees at the park. Day 6. Chair. Day 7. Fear.  Ever fear that you don’t know the answer to this? Day 8. Favourite Day 9. Faceless Self Portrait Day 10. I want… to read this book in peace and quiet. Day 11. Important.  Spices for curry. Day 12. In the distance. Day 13. Sound. Day 14. Tasty. Day 15. Explore. Day 16. 9 o clock.  Reading bedtime story, ‘The Brixton Brothers’ book 1. …

Eat curry, hunt treasure.

This weekend was my birthday weekend as we wouldn’t all be here on my actual birthday to have cake and gasp at present opening! We went to House of India for a curry buffet extravaganza lunch. Bodhi ate his body weight in chicken Tikka Masala and I just wanted to eat the rice pudding, but tried to be an adult and had some actual food first. Onto Barnes and Noble to pick up a woefully old, Mollie Makes magazine,  out of date because it is a UK publication and I assume it takes ages for it to flap those magaziney pages over here. Not to worry though, there are no horoscopes to go out of date, no celeb gossip to age, just lovely crafty stuff for me to look at and plan to make. When I can knit and crochet effectively…..I can use a sewing machine and a needle and thread, so all is not lost!  I like the look of the itsy hedgehog on the cover, I can make him! After Indian lunch, we went off …

Packed and ready to layer

Started today with a sunny and sweaty bootcamp class on the High School track. Exercising outside in St Louis is a brutal thing in the summer, but think of the toxins I sweated out. Oh, and the wine from last night! Dropped some jewels off at the fabulous ‘Screaming Mimi’ in Maplewood.  Go and check them out, lots of wonderfuls in there! Favourite sandwich stop for lunch – ‘Fozzies’ on Big Bend. I had the chicken gyros on pita with salad and feta and it was delish! Home to cram a last minute bargain t shirt in my suitcase for our UK trip. Got the shirt and a lovely scarf from ‘Mezzanine’ on Sutton Blvd in Maplewood. They are closing which is a shame as it is a lovely store to go and dream about affording anything in there. We also got a massive and fabulous glass vase for five dollars. I know this scarf is black and not exactly summery, but England is not exactly summery at the minute either. I have booked some …
