Today has been a lovely cool day again with lots of rain which has made my garden happy!
I made some ‘Double Coconut Muffins‘ this morning with the addition of mini chocolate chips. I am so happy to be able to switch the oven on without the air conditioning having a nervous breakdown! This is a quite delicious recipe and I recommend it highly, I am even thinking it would work without the coconut, and with blueberries or even more choc chips.
What are you reading at the minute? Do you have a list of books to read? I have a Pinterest board full of them!
I want to read the new book by Rachel Joyce called ‘Perfect‘, but I am going to have to order it from the UK as I can’t stand to look at the US cover (the rose). It is not published here for ages and I want to read it NOW! Ahem. Yes, I do judge books by their covers, that rose cover looks like a 1980’s sleazy crime novel and I would not pick it up off the shelf.
Another book I want to read is ‘The Gallery of Vanished Husbands‘ by Natasha Solomons and would you believe it, same problem. Look at the US cover (woman’s face), it looks like a bad case of beach chick lit! Judgemental? Moi? Little bit.
I made some bracelets not long ago with vintage buttons on leather. The button is the focal and the fastener.
As I have nearly had five thousand looks at my blog, I thought I would throw a few out into the crowd! So, if you fancy a bracelet, just comment below or on my Facebook page or my Instagram or send me a tweet and I will draw some names and send you one! Yay. All of the links are at the top of the blog too, up there, see them? Hurrah.
Don’t forget to tell me what you are reading and of course if you want a lovely bracelet in your mailbox as a little ‘thank – you for visiting’.
I would LOVE to win. This would totally be my style! And I SO agree about your book covers. That was one of the things I noticed when I was in the UK for work. The graphic design there is so much more sophisticated. I have a long list of books I would like to get to read but right now I am reading a kid’s book about EE Cummings called A Poet’s Life. I just love biographies. Also I am only ever in the kid’s section these days!
