Blogging is fab!

I have been blogging properly for a year now, so here I am going to share why I still am doing it and enjoying it.  When I say ‘properly’ I mean regularly I suppose, I actually started a blog over a year ago, but I only wrote when I thought I had something to say.  Now I just babble on about anything three or four times a week.  Lucky lucky you! I must say the regularity has been a good thing and I remember reading somewhere when I started to blog that even if you blog weekly, that is enough.  I disagree totally with this, people don’t come and read and join in when there is nothing new.  I don’t over examine my numbers, but it is clear when I haven’t written for a day or two as lovely readers don’t come to play until I write a new post.  I also try to have a bit of a blog schedule, so with any luck you might get a Halloween post before October 29th when …

March ten on the tenth.

Raining again for ten on the tenth,  I can’t believe that it has rained on the 10th of each month this year.  I wonder if it will rain on the 10th of every month?  We shall see I am taking all of the photos today on my iPhone 4S and cropping and adding clarity to each in the Camera+ app. I will be consistent in each photo and see which works best by number ten. Today  is Mothering Sunday in the UK, so happy Mother’s Day to all you Mamas! Oh look, it’s raining.  The Rosemary is having a lovely time in the rain. My new read ‘Astrid and Veronika’ by Linda Olsson. As recommended by Pip at Meet me at Mikes.  It is called ‘Let me Sing you Gentle Songs’ in Australia.  I love the cover, which is exactly how I choose books to read!  That and recommendations of course.  What are you reading?  Got a recommendation or a book with a great cover to share? One of the trees in our back garden …

I want a friend with a cafe and other pressing needs.

As I was reading Meet Me at Mikes by Pip Lincolne, and how Pip was helping her friend out who owns a cafe, I had a huge joyful feeling that I want to be involved with a cafe. I don’t have aspirations to own one, but I would love to be able to help someone with one, not even work for them, just help out as and when.  I can help with recipe ideas and I am a very excellent taste tester.  I can carry, waitress, wash, dry.  Also decorate, paint and choose the music. This came as a very strong feeling and a positive one.  Isn’t it strange how a feeling can overtake you for a moment.  I like it. Now, who do I know who owns or wants to own a cafe?! Maybe we serve these hot chocolates?   I also want to make a random bead necklace for my friend. Sounds easy?   Of course, grab a handful of beads from my various jars and bowls.  No.  I don’t do random very well, …
