I was visiting my friend Annette at her lovely blog I Give You The Verbs today and she has a great post which is a list of things she likes. So, I grabbed a cupful of inspiration and here is my list of things I like. Appropriately on ‘I like’ Friday. Yay.
Snapea crisps in black pepper flavor – I just discovered them and they are super duper good!
Buying paints in a lovely colour palette, I went to ArtMart for Glow in the Dark paint and came out with a handful of fabulous colours. I can’t wait to try out the Glow in the Dark!
Painting with the above!
Reading a good book, I look forward to reading every night and I am so disappointed when I find that I really am not enjoying the book in my hand. I am about to start a new book called ‘We Are Unprepared‘ so I hope it is a good one.
Libraries, I hunt out the library wherever I go!
Sunshine, it has been so gloomy here the past few days, I need some sunlight.
Drawing on the papery side of gum wrappers, this is not my thing, but my youngest has quite a collection of arted wrappers!
Estate sales, the thrill of the rummage! In fact there is one locally tomorrow morning, so I wonder what I will find.
Freshly made coffee with frothy milk.
Sheets dried on the washing line – hanging washing outside is frowned upon here (not sure if it an American thing) but I rebel and out it goes!
Baking cakes – baking is kitchen magic and usually with a delicious result to share.
Getting into bed at night because it is so comfy! I know I will sleep badly, I always do, but I love my bed anyway.
People who are nice. Someone told me today that I looked like a young(er) Jane Goodall. I’ll take it!
Anyone who makes anything creative then shares and is willing to tell how they did it. I learn so much from generous artists who share their processes.
Unlike Annette who I viciously stole this idea from, I like odd numbers, I will take 7 or 11 over 10 any day!!
What do you like? Let me know in the comments!
Happy Friday x
What a great list…we’ve also been missing sunshine recently and I definitely need it too! …as well as drying sheets outside, they have such a wonderful smell when dry (providing someone close doesn’t light a bonfire!)
Have you got a specific project for your glow in the dark paints Clare?
We are still needing the sun out! I am not sure on the glow in the dark, of course there is always a galaxy!!
Well, I like this post! Very much. It’s lovely and inspiring and I might have to viscously steal it from both of you and do one myself as it has such a lovely feel to it. I also like the sound of your glow in the dark paints, these sound fab. I hope you can sort out your sleeping issue – I have slept badly all summer and it is terrible! I want to work on improving my sleep quality. I actually like most of the things on your list too. Thanks for sharing this feel-good post! xx
