Taking Stock June 2017

fullsizeoutput_883

A stock take at the end of June, inspired by the wonderful blog that is Meet Me At Mikes.

Making : A sketchbook with pages of watercolor paper for a class I am starting in July,

Cooking : Egg fried rice for dinner.

Drinking : A hot cup of Typhoo tea!

Reading: ‘Project Calm’ magazine.

Wanting: All the paints in all the colours!

Looking: At the bird feeder out the window.

Playing: The radio.

Deciding: What to do for my ‘100 day project’ tomorrow – 100 Days of Creative Ideas.

Wishing: I had chosen an art based ‘100 day project’.  Less than 20 days to go, I am not giving up now!

Enjoying: Digging around in the woods with my kid!

Waiting: For tomorrow to call my Mum and Dad who arrived home from their holidays.

Liking: Cool evenings.

Wondering: If I can fill an sketchbook which would be good enough for the Brooklyn Art Library‘s sketchbook collection.

Loving: Making sketchbooks using old book covers.

Pondering: Should I buy wine?

Considering: Buying wine?

Buying: High Flow Acrylic paints (you thought I was going to say wine didn’t you?!)

Watching: ‘A Man Called Ove’ on Amazon.

Hoping:  For a good weekend.

Marvelling: At how big my tomatoes are getting in their pots in the garden.

Cringing: At my aching muscles following two pilates classes this week.

Needing: Milk, we are nearly out!

Questioning: My latest book choice – The Women in the Castle – I have only just started it and it is slow going.

Smelling: Mint and basil growing in my garden.

Wearing: Linen trousers and a sleeveless t shirt.  It is hot!

Following: Bloglovin’ to keep up with bloggy events.

Noticing: Nature.

Knowing: The more you look the more you see.

Thinking: How much I like working part time at the library.

Admiring: The squirrels as they run up the trees going round and around the trunk!

Sorting: All the finds we have made in the past couple of years-marbles, keys, tiles, bottles and shards of china. (today’s finds are in the photo at the beginning of this post)

Getting: Interested in the history of the objects we find in the mud and the creek.

Bookmarking: Magazines as I never finish reading them in one go.

Coveting: Vintage papers and photographs.

Disliking: 90 degree weather.

Opening: My mouth to yawn, I need an early night.

Giggling: At my pilates instructor as she tries to distract us from the arm numbing plank she has us hold forever and ever…..

Feeling: Comfy.

Snacking: On ice cream and sprinkles.

Helping: With library craft night – this week we are painting rocks!

Hearing: The dishwasher swishing and swishing.

Here is a blank stock take in case you want to take your own stock!

Happy Wednesday x

Clare! Long time no read! It feels like ages ago that we were both complaining about the relative heat and humidity in China/USA. How cool to work part time at the library. And library craft night sounds like a lot of fun. Definitely buy wine! xx

  2. Drinking tea at the moment too! And my parents are just back from holidays – they were in Canada looking at mountains and gets and lakes! I could send you my milk. For some reason we have an excess!

  3. I’m drinking red wine by our roaring fire, and thinking ‘yes, buy the wine!’. And you could totally do the Brooklyn Art Library project. xx
